Hanzo Hasashi is sent to the horrible Netherrealm after the stone-cold mercenary Sub-Zero brutally murdered his family. There, the evil Quan Chi offers him the chance to avenge his family if he will serve them in exchange for his resurrection as Scorpion, a lost soul hellbent on vengeance. Returning on Earthrealm, Lord Raiden assembles an unlikely band of heroes with one shot to save humanity: Shaolin monk Liu Kang, Special Forces officer Sonya Blade, and action star Johnny Cage. In order to achieve this goal, they must win the Mortal Kombat tournament and destroy Shang Tsung’s army of Outworld warriors.
